Kurdish School in Vienna begins new academic year

On 13 September the Kurdish School will reopen its gates to all children, students, and adults who are eager for knowledge and interested in languages and it will offer the opportunity to study the Kurdish language and to get to know Kurdish culture. Lessons for the about 50 pupils will be split up into several classes according to the prior knowledge of the students. Classes will take place every Saturday from 9:30 – 13:30 at the rented premises of the HTL Rennweg, situated at Rennweg 89b, 1030 Vienna.

“The Kurdish School in Vienna has set itself the task to use seminars and events to cultivate the Kurdish language, literature, history, art, and music and to introduce them to the Austrian public. The never ending commitment of the teaching staff under the direction of Ms Pachschan Ahmed transferred the school into an important institution and made it a meeting place of the Austro-Kurdish community, ” says Dr Ramazan.
