Austrian MP Eva Ernst-Dziedzic visited the Kurdistan Region on February 9 during her trip to the Federal Republic of Iraq. The Austrian MP was received by Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations within the Kurdistan Regional Government. Ms. Ernst-Dziedzic was accompanied by the Austrian Chargé d’affaires Dr. Andrea Nasi and Professor Thomas Schmidinger.
Both sides discussed current developments, challenges facing the region and cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Safeen Dizayee thanked Austria for its support for the Kurdistan Region and the friendship between the two peoples.

Ernst-Dziedzic MP also visited the University of Kurdistan in Erbil.
