Prime Minister Barzani: KRG is committed to implementing structural-wide reform programs

KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani inaugurated a training and capacity building centre for the Ministry of Electricity last Wednesday in Erbil as part of reform programs that include human resource development within the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The KRG, in cooperation with the World Bank, has adopted a comprehensive roadmap for structural reform in the Kurdistan Region to better address the needs of the Kurdistani people, enhance administrative and  social services, as well as ensure economic security and opportunity for future generations.

The Development and Training Centre, as part of this reform package, will train and develop the professional, scientific, and technical capabilities of the KRG Ministry of Electricity employees. Though built for the KRG Ministry of Electricity employees, use of the facility is extended for personnel of all other ministries, departments and agencies of the KRG as well as by international organizations operating in Kurdistan-Iraq.
