Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with the new US Consul General to Erbil, Robert J. Palladino. The Prime Minister congratulated the consul general for his new post and expressed the KRG’s readiness to cooperate with the United States.
Consul General Palladino reiterated that the Kurdistan Region is a strategic partner in the Region and emphasized that the US will continue to provide support for the fight against terrorism as well as increase investments in the region.
Both sides also touched upon Erbil-Baghdad relations, the upcoming Iraqi elections, and the Kurdistan Region’s inclusion in strategic dialogues between the US and Iraq.
