Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met with President Vladimir Putin Wednesday in Moscow.
President Putin expressed his willingness to further develop bilateral relations, particularly in the economic and energy fields.
Prime Minister Barzani stressed that the Kurdistan Region welcomes any step in the direction of strengthening the relations between Kurdistan Region and Russia. He expressed his government’s support for energy projects and Russian companies investments in the Kurdistan Region.
Prime Minister Barzani visited Moscow to attend the Victory Day parade at the Red Square in Moscow alongside senior international officials and delegations, marking the surrender of Nazi Germany and the end of the World War II in 1945.
