Kurdistan Regional Government-Iraq Representation in Austria

In accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Iraq, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is the administrative body of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Democratically elected and reflecting the ethnical and religious diversity of the Region, the KRG is committed to the upholding of democracy and human rights. The executive branch consists of the Presidency with its administration, the “Diwan”, and the Region’s Prime Minister who presides over the council of ministers. While the legislative branch is formed by the Kurdistan Region´s Parliament, the judicial power is held by the various civil and criminal courts.
